GovProcure is operated by NearbyYou Ltd ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at the contact details below.
1. Customers and website users
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), your organisation name and the business profile you give us (sectors, keywords, regions, contract sizes). If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment and the subscription status, not your full card details.
We use this to provide the service: matching tenders to your profile, sending your alert emails, managing your subscription and keeping the service secure. Our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the service. We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and no advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Businesses we contact about relevant tenders
We tell UK businesses about live public-sector contracts in their sector. To do this we use business information that is already public: company names, websites, business phone numbers and business email addresses that companies publish on their own websites; business listings from Google; the Companies House register; and supplier names published in official contract award notices. We do not guess or buy email addresses, and we only email limited companies and LLPs in this way.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: telling businesses about contracts that are relevant to them. Every email identifies us and includes a one-click unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, we add your address to a suppression list so you are never contacted again. You can also ask us to delete the record we hold about your business.
3. Who we share data with
Only service providers that help us run GovProcure: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, Stripe for payments and Google for business listings. They act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
4. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while you have an account. You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time; we keep payment records for as long as the law requires (normally 6 years). Records of businesses we contacted are deleted automatically once they are 24 months old unless the business has become a customer; suppression entries are kept so that we always honour opt-outs.
5. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it (including for direct marketing, which we will always stop), or restrict how we use it. Contact us at the contact details below. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
